Carl G. Jung, born on 26 July 1875 in Kesswil in Switzerland, studied medicine and worked at the psychiatric clinic of the University of Zurich (Burghölzli) from 1900-09. Flap text
This richly illustrated standard work - on the market for over forty years - reveals the meaning of symbols. C. G. Jung and four other eminent psychologists introduce the reader to the world of archetypes, dreams, myths and the developmental processes of the soul: C. G. Jung writes about access to the unconscious, Joseph L. Henderson about modern man and myths, Marie-Louise von Franz about the individuation process, Aniela Jaffé about the visual arts as a symbol and Jolande Jacobi about symbols on the path to maturity.
