Fateful summer in the heath. For ten years, Kati has avoided her old homeland. For ten years, painful memories have tormented her. Now, once again, a tragedy has struck her family. Her father lies in a coma, and her grandmother can no longer manage the small inn that the Weidemanns have operated for generations in the heart of the Lüneburg Heath. And the season has just begun.

With a heavy heart, Kati decides to give up her agency job in Hamburg and help out at the Heidehof for a while. To her surprise, she realizes how much she has missed the peace and beauty of the heath landscape: Kati begins to thrive, and her wounds finally start to heal.
