"Are you related to Arthur Schnitzler?" Michael Schnitzler has often heard this question, even though he never knew his famous grandfather. The son of Heinrich Schnitzler and Lilly Strakosch, he grew up in the United States and studied violin in Vienna. His incomparable musical career takes him to international concert stages around the world with various orchestras and ensembles.
But the enthusiastic traveler discovers his personal paradise in 1989 in the rainforest of Costa Rica, where he exchanges the soft sounds of the violin for the calls of howler monkeys and parrots. Today, the "Rainforest of the Austrians" he initiated is his second home, where he is passionately committed to the preservation of nature and biodiversity.
