Abstract: This teaching plan was designed for an examination lesson in the subject of Mathematics for first grade on the topic 'Getting to know the Euro as a currency unit and its application'. Money serves as a means of payment, a unit of calculation, and a store of value. This makes it clear that the topic of money is not only relevant for political education in social studies but also holds great significance in mathematics education as a unit of calculation. Money is always and everywhere present in our lives. We use it every day, completely naturally, without giving it much thought. Therefore, money has a tremendous influence in our lives in the forms of earning, possessing, saving, and spending money. Accordingly, it has universal significance for every individual. The elaboration includes a condition analysis, a subject analysis, a didactic/methodical analysis, the lesson plan, reflection, the blackboard illustration, and materials.
