Der Erwachsenenschutz: Die behördlichen Massnahmen, Art. 388–425 ZGB

This commentary addresses the first two sections of the official measures of adult protection law. Daniel Rosch comments on the general principles and the general provisions regarding guardianships, the system of tailored measures with individual guardianships, as well as the provisions concerning the termination of a guardian's office. Christoph Häfeli discusses the end of guardianship, the provisions concerning the guardian, and the special provisions for relatives, the management of guardianship, as well as the involvement and intervention of the adult protection authority. Throughout the commentary, non-legal disciplines such as psychology, medicine, and social work play an important role. Both authors, thanks to their dual training as lawyers and social workers, as well as their many years of experience as lecturers at universities of applied sciences and their consulting work, are able to illuminate the interfaces and overlaps of the involved disciplines.
