150 years ago, the international association for the history of Lake Constance and its surroundings was founded. To mark this occasion, a richly illustrated and varied anthology is published with 150 contributions by renowned authors who look at Lake Constance from just as many perspectives: History and culture, flora and fauna, geology and limnology, to current topics around the lake. The book shows the diversity of the historical, cultural and natural landscape of the Lake Constance region; at the same time, it honors the cross-border work of the Lake Constance Historical Society in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein.
