Since the publication of the preliminary edition written by Manfred Rehbinder (1985), the development of individual employment contract law has been significantly shaped by a much denser body of case law. Additionally, judgments from cantonal courts have increasingly been made available. This has notably increased legal certainty. Furthermore, normative provisions from collective labor agreements have been increasingly incorporated as another important legal source in the commentary.
