An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Even today, this old saying from the 19th century holds great significance. It is an essential topic in early education. Our children in the school entry phase often come to school with very different learning prerequisites, depending on the support they receive at home and in kindergarten, and are at various stages of development. It is crucial to address and consider this wide range of learning prerequisites from the start. The topic of "apple" works well to accommodate these heterogeneous learning conditions, as every child is familiar with this fruit. The three areas of focus in the booklet are: "What does an apple look like?", "How does the apple get to the tree?" and "The apple as food". The topics are differentiated in such a way that all children in their learning group can meet their individual requirements.
