Product details
Can cancer cells be starved simply by eliminating sugar from the diet? And does that work with any type of cancer cell - or does it depend on the exact diagnosis? Jane McLelland had the disease herself: 15 years ago, she was considered to be out of treatment with stage IV cervical cancer and metastases in the lungs. In addition to the classic conventional medical treatment of surgery and chemotherapy, she researched as her own "guinea pig" which substances and drugs also have cancer-inhibiting side effects and used these off-label - i.e. outside the approval - as additional therapy. The result has been a synergistic interplay of a diet that literally starves cancer cells, along with powerful nutritional supplements and a number of long-established drugs that - rather coincidentally - also have an anti-cancer effect. In her book, she presents a map that can be used to identify which type of cancer "feeds" itself and how to proceed, depending on the diagnosis, to cut off the cancer cells' supply path. The drugs used off-label seem to be just the missing piece of the puzzle needed to defeat the disease. This book answers all those questions that automatically arise when patients look at complementary treatment options in addition to traditional conventional medical therapy: What medications can be used outside of their original approval? Which nutritional supplements strengthen a weakened body? Should one follow a ketogenic diet? Is it okay to fast? What fats are healthy? Should one exercise, and if so, what kind of exercise may it be? The author explains why the approach must always be different - not only because people are individually different, but also because it depends on the type of cancer.
