Product details
Is it really true that suicides go to hell? Is there a punishment in the afterlife for attempting to end one's life? What does science say about it?
Taking one's own life is an enormous act of despair. In Germany alone, more than 10,000 people commit suicide each year, and over 100,000 people attempt to take their own lives. More people die by suicide than by traffic accidents, crime, and illegal drugs combined. Each suicide attempt affects up to six relatives. However, it remains a topic that is still heavily stigmatized.
Do suicides go to hell? Are they punished in the afterlife beyond death? Dr. Plackov has investigated this question. It is the first study of its kind in the world. Between 2003 and 2021, he collected 123 cases internationally. All were individuals who took their own lives and experienced a near-death experience. The aim of this study is to illuminate the spiritual consequences of suicide. It seeks to provide guidance to individuals contemplating suicide that extends far beyond the purely earthly. It also addresses counselors and therapists dealing with the topic of suicide. The focus is primarily on the spiritual aspects, whose inclusion would be important for successful counseling. Therefore, the study is intentionally embedded in the topic of suicide. The book is also aimed at all those engaged in suicide prevention, serving as a source of inspiration for their work. Lastly, the book is directed at anyone interested in the topics of suicide and near-death experiences.
