This sailing guide describes a sailing area of exceptional quality: historically, scenically, and navigationally. The authors spent the summer sailing in the island world with their own yacht. All plans and descriptions of ports have been revised and supplemented, along with numerous new photos. The information they have gathered makes this guide a thoroughly up-to-date and competent companion for a successful sailing holiday.

The eastern Aegean islands, lush and fertile off the Turkish coast, from Chios to Oinousai, Psara, Samos, Phournoi, and Ikaria, are already a worthwhile holiday destination in their own right. To the south lies the island arc of the Dodecanese: from Patmos in the north to Arki and Lipsi, Leros, Levitha, Astypalaia, Kalymnos, Kos, Nisyros, Tilos, Symi, Chalki, Rhodes, up to Karpathos and Kasos, which are strung together like pearls on a necklace in the deep blue Aegean Sea. The revision of this sailing guide has been carried out by Melanie Haselhorst and Kenneth Dittmann, who have already updated the volume Greece 1 and have been sailing the Greek waters for years.
