Deine Juliet

Welcome to the club of the Guernsey Friends of Literature and Potato Peel Pie. London, late 1940s: Young writer Juliet receives an unusual letter. The sender is Dawsey Adams, a farmer from the Channel Island of Guernsey, who has acquired an antiquarian book that once belonged to her. A correspondence develops between them, through which Juliet learns about the existence of the "Guernsey Friends of Literature and Potato Peel Pie," a literary society founded by some islanders to help each other through the difficult war years. The more Juliet learns about Dawsey and the others, the more she wishes to meet these people. So she decides to travel to the island. There, Juliet uncovers the story of Elizabeth, a missing member of the club, and her great love for a German officer.
