Degrowth / Postwachstum zur Einführung

Degrowth or post-growth is a dynamic field of research and a reference point for various socio-ecological movements. Post-growth is not only a fundamental critique of the hegemony of economic growth but also a vision for a different society that outlines pathways for fundamental societal change in the face of climate change and global inequality. This volume makes the first attempt at a systematic introduction. It discusses the history of growth and economic statistics and reconstructs the central forms of growth critique: ecological, social, cultural, capitalism, feminist, industrialism, and South-North critique.
