Product details
Stendhal (1783-1842) published the novella "Vanina Vanini" in 1829. It tells the story of an illicit love: the Roman princess Vanina Vanini falls in love with a young revolutionary. When he is imprisoned and sentenced to death, Vanina tries to save her beloved from execution by marrying him. In addition, the volume includes the novella "The Princess of Campobasso." Stendhal wrote both texts at the same time he was working on his famous novel "The Red and the Black.".
