Ethics

The emeritus systematic theologian and ethicist from Heidelberg has followed his now widely disseminated dogmatics with an ethics that is now available in an updated and corrected second edition. This work is also characterized by clarity and comprehensibility of language, a biblical-theological foundation, and a strong relevance to contemporary issues. It consists of a foundational section and a concretization section. The foundational section introduces key ethical concepts, theories, arguments, and judgment formation, incorporating both philosophical and theological approaches. The application section is oriented towards specific, current concepts such as human dignity, health, sexuality, love and ways of life, justice, peace, and language. A summarizing introduction to Protestant social ethics concludes the volume.
