Datenbasierte Dienstleistungen nachhaltig umsetzen

Data-driven services such as predictive maintenance offer significant opportunities for manufacturing companies. A variety of companies have initiated corresponding Industry 4.0 projects. However, the sustainable implementation poses greater challenges than expected. This article presents a guide that outlines what needs to be considered for the sustainable implementation of data-driven services. This guide includes three overarching steps: (1) Development of data-driven services, (2) Concept for the implementation of data-driven services from a socio-technical perspective, and (3) Implementation.

Based on the experiences of a project funded by Innosuisse, the authors highlight where the greatest challenges lie within the three overarching steps, provide a brief overview of the relevant literature, and describe the methods that support the development and sustainable implementation of data-driven services. The authors draw on insights from socio-technical system theory and illustrate what measures are necessary from the perspectives of people, technology, and organization.
