The book is intended as a working tool for all those who are active in empirical social research and already have basic knowledge in the application of SPSS. The aim is to convert typical questions of empirical social research into suitable evaluation concepts and to be able to work on these using the statistics program package SPSS. For each evaluation procedure, the statistical fundamentals are first explained in an application-oriented manner and then the steps involved in working with SPSS are illustrated by means of an application example with real data; processes of data transformation are also explained. Data sets are available for download on the Internet.
