Das Walnusshaus

It all starts with the crazy Manda, who bites the postman, and with her being put to sleep in hospital by a doctor with an overdose. Ninety-seven is the old woman and has lived through a whole century in Dubrovnik. Bit by bit the author unrolls her life, goes back, and little by little we experience the story of the woman as well as her hometown Dubrovnik. Between horror and comedy, the tragic story of the Balkans in the 20th century is created.
