Being able to read fluently while really grasping textual content is one of the most important key skills acquired during the primary school years. However, reading skills can often be improved even for pupils in grades 5 to 8. The exercise books in the series 'Übungsheft Lesen' (Reading Exercise Booklet) lead the pupils in small steps to practise close reading, grasping content and extracting information in a targeted way. Reading skills are built up and deepened with a lot of fun. . Short, exciting narrative texts . Age-appropriate factual texts, instructions, reports . Non-linear texts (lists, maps ...) . Step 1: Get an overview Step 2: Clarify unknown words Step 3: What exactly is it about? Step 4: Work with the text The pupils find a clear, self-contained learning unit on four pages each, which consists of a text and various associated tasks. Sometimes the text is a longer unit at the beginning, sometimes it is divided into smaller reading portions throughout the chapter.
