Few works have influenced our understanding of death as profoundly as "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying." It has also revolutionized patient care and end-of-life support in the West. Countless people have been able to learn the Tibetan "art of dying" – and, above all, "to live." For both are, according to Tibetan belief, just two sides of the same coin. There is a need in the West for a deeper understanding of the mystery of death and knowledge on how to best prepare for it or assist loved ones in that preparation. This classic work on death addresses this need comprehensively.
