Books remain one of humanity's most important cultural achievements to this day. Their invention was as significant as the introduction of the printing press and the internet: for the first time, mass dissemination of information became possible. Education, science, research, and even entertainment were placed on a new, technically and content-wise revolutionary basis. Books continue to change society today.

The technical possibilities of mass book printing led to a radical increase in titles in the 18th and 19th centuries. However, the conditions were still very different from today: those who wrote a book back then often created a life's work. This is reflected in the high quality of old books.

Unfortunately, books age. Paper is not made to last forever. Therefore, we have made it our mission to preserve the knowledge of humanity contained in books and to make old books available in the highest quality at low prices.
