Fairy Tales by the Brothers Grimm in German Lessons

Fairy tales narratively address themes such as fear or envy, as well as joy or happiness. These are emotional experiences that many children feel throughout their lives. Therefore, fairy tales are well-suited for helping children identify with them and develop an interest in the stories. In the first part of this fairy tale workshop, the children will explore fairy tales and their characteristics in general.

Engaging with Fairy Tales Playfully in Class

The second part focuses on eight fairy tales, which the students will also engage with playfully. The children will get creative, for example, by writing an ending to a fairy tale, drawing Little Red Riding Hood's picnic basket, or composing music for 'The Bremen Town Musicians.' In the third part of the workshop, they will create their own narrative, turning everyone into fairy tale fans!
