This volume brings together the most important works published by Melanie Klein throughout her life. The focus of her research is child analysis, which was made possible by the play technique she developed. Child analysis provided her with access to early childhood conflicts and allowed her to derive and confirm Freud's insights from direct analytical observation. The other works in this volume primarily showcase Melanie Klein as a clinician and as an empathetic observer of unconscious processes.
