The established standard work has been completely revised and adapted to the profound changes in Swiss financial market regulation since the last edition. The three new laws, FinfraG, FIDLEG, and FINIG, together with FINMAG, have led to a complete reorganization of financial market law, largely replacing the previous regulations. Additionally, numerous provisions, particularly in the areas of money laundering, administrative assistance, and information exchange, have been revised or newly enacted. Furthermore, topics such as FinTech companies and digital asset rights have been regulated for the first time. Finally, the practice of the supervisory authority FINMA has gained significant importance, resulting in a substantial increase in the scope of regulation, including in self-regulation.
