The two high school students, Hacki and Plasma, enjoy trying to crack other people's computers. A competition arises. The girl sets the challenge: Who will be the first to take control of the central computer of the Rappbode dam system and send a tiny tidal wave to Quedlinburg as proof? However, this game is soon taken from them by a ruthless villain. The Black Horse, Martina Escher, is the new specialist in computer crime at the Quedlinburg District Court, and she learns about it. She finds herself in a deep moral conflict, as Plasma is her son. In her desperation, she asks the unlicensed and unarmed private detective Irenäus Moll for help. However, there is no easy solution against the released waters in the Bodetal.
