When Emma travels to her hometown of Snowhill in December, as she does every year, she is convinced that this will be the saddest Christmas of her life. Her beloved mother has recently passed away, and now Emma must decide how to move forward – with Primrose Cottage and with her own life. Only Cooper, her mother's adorable terrier, ensures that Emma doesn't completely lose her courage. One day, while out for a walk, the dog finds a stuffed rabbit in the bushes, and Emma has no idea that this discovery will set off a series of events that will lead to a small miracle waiting for her at the end.
