The Robert Koch Institute was closely integrated into the Nazi health system as a state research institution of public health between 1933 and 1945. This study examines the personnel and organizational restructuring that the institute underwent under the Nazi dictatorship and analyzes the influence of Nazi ideology and war policy on individual research and work areas. At the same time, it comprehensively addresses the involvement of scientists from the Robert Koch Institute in Nazi medical crimes.
