The contract law of the BGB is undergoing new regulations for contracts concerning digital products due to the implementation of EU directives – regardless of the type of contract, changes to the right of withdrawal regarding updates and data protection, new definitions of defects, an extension of the reversal of the burden of proof, information obligations for online marketplaces and comparison portals regarding their ranking, as well as new information obligations under the EGBGB. The new handbook provides timely knowledge for lawyers, corporate legal advisors, and associations on how to deal with the new regulations that will apply from the deadlines of January 1 and May 1, 2022.
