Product details
Motorically restless children present unique challenges to their teachers, educators, therapists, and families today—just as they did 30 years ago. Due to their temperament, liveliness, and impulsivity, they struggle with adhering to rules, regulating emotions, and controlling their speech flow. At the same time, they are extremely creative, witty, solution-oriented, charming, and committed. Many of them receive a diagnosis of ADHD. Their problems and strengths become particularly evident when they are with peers. For this reason, the Marburg Behavior Training (MVT) has focused on this aspect from the very beginning: it has always been understood as a group training. Children are meant to learn from and with each other. To succeed, young people need trainers, therapists, and teachers who recognize and strengthen their resources, guiding and training them in everyday situations. Based on this proven structure, Gordon Wingert, along with Prof. Dr. Caterina Gawrilow, Dr. Friederike Blume, and Florian Erle, has completely revised the established program. Additionally, they have expanded the original success factors to include those that have proven valuable over the years since the first manualization: Principle Orientation - Each group trains against the backdrop of agreed-upon principles for interaction. These provide children with valuable insights into what it means to be successful. The Method Plan - As a completely new element, this allows for the systematization of psychological methods. Filled out in advance and implemented purposefully, it makes successful training likely.
