A woman in her mid-forties is in a life crisis. She feels unattractive, worthless, has the feeling that she has achieved nothing really important in life. Together with her friend Isa, she wants to treat herself to a short break on a small island. She hopes for good conversations and wants to use the days to finally lose a few kilos. But unfortunately Isa cancels at short notice. Disappointed, she sets off alone. While walking on the beach, she discovers a message in a bottle with a touching message. Is it a coincidence that she meets Lene, the author of the message, shortly afterwards? Together with her, she sets off in search of happiness, only to find it in the end where she would never have suspected it.
