The three-volume series, each with different focuses, was developed to enable slower learners, children with language difficulties, and those with cognitive support needs to learn in a relaxed manner and gain a better understanding of the diverse world of letters and numbers. Each volume of the fun animal alphabet has its own emphasis. Each letter of the alphabet is consistently associated with the same animal across the three volumes (for example, Frederike the Bat or Nayla the Rhinoceros). In Volume 1, teachers will find a language game for each letter animal, addressing themes of syllables, rhymes, and parts of speech in a recurring manner. These are embedded in songs to familiar melodies, puzzles, or sound games. Additionally, a thematic worksheet follows each activity. The fun animal alphabet serves as a supplement to existing school teaching materials and can be integrated into the classroom as a standalone volume or used as a complete series to design a school week around one of the animals. For instance, the cat Karlota could enrich the week with a language game, a counting worksheet, and a crafting unit. One target group is first graders, who typically start this new phase of their lives with joy and excitement. This series aims to guide each child playfully through the letter maze and the world of numbers up to 20, without developing a sense of inability. Another target group includes children of varying ages in special education schools. By combining all three volumes, particularly intensive support can be provided in the areas of meaningful experiences, cognitive performance, abstraction, and community experiences. 72 pages.
