Abstract: This paper presents the learning tempo duet as a method of cooperative learning, illustrated through an example of a lesson. It includes a detailed reflection from both the teacher's and the students' perspectives.

Cooperative learning aims for "learning through teaching." This approach effectively supports both weaker and stronger students in a sustainable manner, allowing for individualized support for individual students or student groups.

Assmann describes cooperative learning as a special form of joint learning, distinguishing it from traditional, simple group work. Through targeted cooperative measures, individual learners take responsibility for the whole group. This is achieved by dividing specific tasks within the group. Consequently, social skills are fostered in every phase of cooperative learning. According to Assmann, at the end of these work phases, both the learning content and the group processes should be reflected upon and evaluated. This is important because, for Assmann, learning is not merely seen as the acquisition of knowledge but as a process that equally promotes social and cognitive skills.
