Product details

Hildegunst von Mythenmetz returns to the city of dreaming books.

It has been over two hundred years since Buchhaim, the city of dreaming books, was destroyed by a devastating firestorm. The eyewitness to this catastrophe, Hildegunst von Mythenmetz, has since become the greatest writer of Zamonia and is recovering from his monumental success at the Lindwurm Castle. He enjoys being praised daily when a disturbing message reaches him, giving his existence a sense of purpose once again.

Lured by a mysterious letter, Hildegunst von Mythenmetz returns to Buchhaim. The magnificently rebuilt city has once again become a vibrant metropolis of literature and a Mecca for the book trade, filled with book enthusiasts of all kinds. As he follows the clues, Mythenmetz finds himself caught in an adventurous whirlwind as soon as he enters the city. He encounters old friends like the terrifying Inazea Anazazi, the booklings Ojahnn Golgo van Fontheweg, Dölerich Hirnfidler, and Gofid Letterkerl, the Eydeeten Hachmed Ben Kibitzer, as well as new residents, phenomena, and wonders of the city, such as the mysterious Biblionauts, the obscure Puppetists, and Buchhaim's latest attraction, the invisible theater. In the process, Mythenmetz becomes increasingly lost in the labyrinth of dreaming books, which seems to mysteriously and invisibly determine the fate of Buchhaim. Until he eventually finds himself caught in an unstoppable whirlwind of events that surpasses every adventure he has ever faced in every way.
