Das Kapital

Few theoretical works have changed the world as profoundly as "Das Kapital" by Karl Marx. In writing Capital, Marx aimed to decipher the compulsive laws of the capitalist mode of production. "They do not know it, but they do it" – this sentence from the first chapter can thus be read as a preamble to the entire work, an attempt presented with as much theoretical insight as meticulous accuracy to convey to society an awareness of its own material basis of existence.
