Journalist Valerie Vogler is invited to Spitsbergen by the highly acclaimed four-member artist group AURORA. She is to write an article about their next major work, but must adhere to certain conditions set by the collective. However, it is not just an external view of the group's creative process; discrepancies and inconsistencies within AURORA become apparent. The seemingly flawless and brilliant image begins to crack. Additionally, the young woman is confronted by events from her past. She becomes increasingly entangled in the opaque happenings and activities of the collective. What is really going on in the studio? And what do the artists Lasse, Gunnar, Per, and Henrik actually plan to do with the journalist? What initially appears to be an opportunity for a major journalistic breakthrough turns out to be a hellish trip.
