Das Haus der inklusiven Schule

The Salamanca Declaration of 1994 and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2009) helped the term "inclusion" to make its final breakthrough and established it as an internationally recognised technical term. Since then, a lively academic and educational policy discourse has been striving to fill this term with a consensual content and to describe its consequences for the construction of an inclusive education system and the design of an inclusive school. The present volume O discusses the new tasks and challenges (construction sites), O concretises concepts and designs for educational policy and pedagogical action (construction plans), O provides concrete suggestions and aids for everyday inclusive teaching (building blocks). The author is Professor Emeritus of Inclusive and Learning Disability Education at the University of Hamburg and has made a name for himself through relevant academic studies.
