I have already written a lot about Crete, and yet there are always new, exciting and eventful things that one encounters there and that are worth recording. That's how this book came about; I have collected experiences, impressions and stories in it that have fascinated me, even though they have little to do with each other. The unifying bond that holds them all together is the love of Crete. A colourful bouquet of impressions, which, if they find favour with the readers, can make a small contribution to a better understanding of this wonderful island.
