The discourse of Jesus Christ is at the center of the Christian faith and Christian theology. The Apostolic Creed summarizes essential aspects of the confession to Jesus Christ in its central second article. The volume "The Discourse of Jesus Christ as a Statement of Faith" explores the biblical-theological foundations and systematic-theological dimensions of each individual statement of the second article of faith. In doing so, the dialogue between biblical scholarship and systematic theology is presented paradigmatically and practiced with the help of didactic notes and further questions. The continuation volume "The Discourse of God the Father and God the Holy Spirit as a Statement of Faith" similarly addresses the first and third articles of the Creed, where essential aspects of the Christian confession to God the Creator and God the Holy Spirit are summarized.
