Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are lifelong diseases that begin in childhood and are associated with far-reaching impairments in social behaviour, communication and obsessive-compulsive behaviour. Parents of autistic children and adolescents are confronted with special challenges in their everyday life due to the symptoms. The FAUT-E training manual is aimed at therapists trained in behavioural therapy who wish to offer group therapy for parents of autistic children and adolescents. In addition to background information on ASS, this book contains above all a structured parent training manual with eight training units based on each other, which serve to impart knowledge and advise parents and provide them with concrete techniques for dealing with their children.
