Das Fell des Bären

Since the death of his mother two years ago, 12-year-old Domenico has had a tough life. His father, a carpenter, has become as silent and unsociable as a lynx. On an autumn morning in 1963, the father tells his son that he should not go to school today: they will be going to the mountains for a few days. Because, of all people, he, the outsider in the village, has made a bet to hunt the bear that has been crushing beehives and attacking deer in the area for the past few weeks. Domenico has been waiting for such an adventure for a long time. It quickly becomes clear that it will push him to his limits. At the same time, during the adventurous hunt, he senses a remarkable transformation in his otherwise reserved father.
