Das Deuteronomium

How is collective unbelief manifested in Deuteronomy, and how can it be interpreted from a historical-theological perspective? Are there parallels to Psalm 78 and Psalm 106? What does the theory of festivals look like from the perspective of women and those who have to pay the tithe?

The contributions to the book Deuteronomy, created on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Georg Braulik and the 60th of Hans Ulrich Steymans, document and analyze new research findings and develop further theses: among other things, regarding the altar law as a place of encounter with God, similar to Sinai, the poetic style in priestly texts, the historical theology of Deuteronomy in comparison with Psalms 78 and 106, and the history of reception in the Levitical homilies of Origen.
