Product details

Anaïs Nin was born in 1903 in Paris to a Danish mother and a Spanish musician. She grew up in New York, where she began writing her diaries at the age of eleven. Married to banker Hugh Guiler, she was both companion and muse to many famous contemporaries. She had a passionate relationship with Henry Miller. In addition to her prose writings, she gained literary fame primarily through her diaries. Anaïs Nin passed away in 1977 in Los Angeles.

Anaïs Nin, the creator of the feminine language of sexuality, released "The Delta of Venus" shortly before her death—35 years after she had written these incredibly direct accounts. The fifteen erotic episodes indeed overshadow most of what we know as erotic literature from the pen of a woman.
