The Scot and the Shaman takes place in America in the year 1760, where the French are fighting the English for dominance. Both sides are trying to gain the support of the Native Americans. With the help of the shaman Conawago, the Scot Duncan McCallum has survived the massacre of his clan perpetrated by the English. Now he and Conawago are traveling through the forests. When they find a dying English officer nailed to a tree, they get into trouble. Conawago is arrested because he is suspected of being the murderer. To save him, Duncan sets out to uncover the truth behind this murder case. Soon he realizes that there have been more ritual murders.
