What we gain when we simply stop doing many things in management. People primarily experience the economy at the workplace. How they are treated daily in their companies, how supervisors, colleagues, and employees interact with them, they carry that outside into their families and social circles. In short: What happens to us at work has direct societal implications - and these can be enormous. However, especially in companies, there is often a lack of decency, as Germany's most successful business thinker demonstrates in his new book. Decency, understood as restraint and distance.
