Darned fib stories

The beams are bending! Fibbing, lying, cheating, and deceiving – who doesn't know it? Once children are around four or five years old, they start to tell untruths. Out of creativity and fun, to impress others, but also out of shame or fear of admitting a mistake. And that's exactly what the protagonists in this funny read-aloud book do: For example, fairy Fidi loves to exaggerate because she feels small and wants to prove to others how big and strong she is. Luckily, her friends understand her. Dad comes up with a little lie just for fun, gets caught by his kids, and receives a playful comeback. The little squirrel fabricates a tummy ache because it doesn't want to go to daycare, fearing the little fox who always plays so wildly. Fortunately, the squirrel parents know: talking and mutual understanding help. And bandit boy Grumble has a big problem; he simply can't come up with a fib! Yet he needs to trick the others!
