In pre-trial detention in Ravensburg, he begins to rethink his life. The mental film finally brings to life for Lutz experiences from the wartime that have left deep scars on his soul. Events he would rather have forgotten. Deep silences begin to crumble and Reuss faces the questions that frighten him the most: Why had he voluntarily become a member of the General SS in 1934? Why had he enthusiastically supported National Socialism? Had he only been a naïve follower, or is he a perpetrator?.
