Very early in life, during the years of initial experimentation, the desire to create a mark on the empty, smooth surface of paper emerges. And because need and ability align, a natural expression develops, becoming a faithful companion to the individual. New forms grow out of these early creations and take shape from an inner necessity - within the framework of a genetically predetermined, endless process. Knowing this brings about a completely new perspective on the mark: children's drawings are the undeniable expression of unspeakable reality and should not be laughed at, nor seen as unfinished or in need of improvement in artistic endeavor. Understanding this leads to a different approach to the child. Irreplaceable skills are sacrificed in the education towards early adulthood. In expression, the child is not inferior to the adult.
