Product details
Based on Martin Buber's assertion that a person becomes human only 'in the experience of reciprocity', the author presents the concept of a therapeutic educational relationship. This concept has been developed over decades of therapeutic and educational work with children and adolescents with behavioral issues, as well as in the training of special educators, and has been tested for its effectiveness. The methodological foundations of relationship building are described for both individual and group contexts, and experiences and concepts for designing a training program to develop basic competencies are explained. This publication contributes to the evaluation and quality development in educational support. It is particularly aimed at trainee and practicing special education workers, as well as professionals in disability support.
