The 105th edition of the Putzger World Atlas has been fundamentally revised and thematically expanded to facilitate map work in history classes and to promote the acquisition of methodological skills. The layout of the atlas and the design of the maps have been modernized and adapted to contemporary viewing habits. All maps are up to date with the latest historical research. As an extension, the atlas now also comprehensively covers non-European regions and contemporary political developments. Migration, climate change, epidemics, and globalization: In addition to the maps organized by historical periods, new longitudinal sections illustrate today's global issues in their historical context. A special feature of the 105th edition is the inclusion of focus pages for each period, featuring elements of digital graphics and cartography. The revised appendix, which includes a historical lexicon-style index, provides guidance and facilitates independent work with the Putzger World Atlas.
