New at Lighthouse is the hybrid approach. The printed book is enriched by optional digital offerings that students can easily access via the Cornelsen Learning App. Lighthouse Basic motivates and supports students with learning difficulties in particular. As the successor to English G Highlight, Lighthouse Basic focuses on supporting students in the best possible way and accompanying them on their way to a successful secondary school leaving certificate. Compared to the Lighthouse General Edition, Lighthouse Basic has a generally lower level.
Lighthouse Basic offers a smaller-step approach, more frequent repetition loops, and a stronger focus on oral skills. Integrated digital offerings are optional and can be used flexibly in all teaching scenarios. This provides pupils with the best possible support and relieves teachers in the preparation and implementation of their lessons. Lighthouse Basic is ideal for use at lower secondary schools and for externally differentiated English lessons at comprehensive schools and related school types, e.g., in basic courses from year 7 onwards. The General Edition and Advanced Edition offer a flexible supplement to systematically take different needs and levels into account in a textbook combination. The matching Lighthouse Inclusion material supports the successful integration of pupils with special needs and accompanies all editions.
